Spring Flag Football 2025 – Let’s Get In The Game! 🏈🌟

Welcome to the Spring Flag Football 2025 season, brought to you by SYSA! We’re beyond excited to kick off this high-energy, action-packed program designed to bring fun, camaraderie, and valuable life lessons to your child’s springtime routine! 🙌

The fun starts in April, and it’s going to be a season full of skill-building and spirited competition. During the week, your young athletes will dive into focused practices to sharpen their skills and boost their confidence. Then, on Saturdays, the excitement takes over at Andrew Rypien Field, where the games bring out the best in friendly competition! 🏅🎮

This season is all about creating unforgettable memories on and off the field, where teamwork, sportsmanship, and friendships take center stage. Let’s make this spring a season to remember! 🌈🤝

Registration Open

Season Dates

-April 14 – May 17th
-Practices start the week of April 14th, first game is April 19th.
-All games will be held on Saturdays at Andrew Rypien Field

Registration Deadline

To ensure priority placement, please complete your registration by March 13th. After this date, coach requests and player requests may no longer be available. Registrations received after March 13th will be placed on a waitlist.

Divisions & Fees

-$135 – Grades 1-2 Flag Football
Includes: 5 spring games, 1 practice per week, SYSA jersey, and mouthguard.

-$135 – Grades 3-4 Flag Football
Includes: 5 spring games, 2 practices per week, SYSA jersey, and mouthguard.

$155 – Grades 5-6 NFL Flag Football
Includes: 5 spring games, 2 practices per week, NFL Flag jersey, and mouthguard.

**A non-refundable 3% banking fee and a $1 service fee will be added at the time of check out.**

Practice Locations/Times

The Volunteer Coach will select the practice days and times. Practices can be scheduled any day from Monday to Friday.

• Grades 1-2: 1 practice per week
• Grades 3-6: 2 practices per week

Uniform Provided

SYSA will provide jerseys and mouthguards to all participants.

Player Provides

• Labeled football
• Athletic shoes/cleats
• Labeled water bottle

Football Sizes:

• Grades 1-2: Pee Wee
• Grades 3-4: Junior
• Grades 5-6: Junior

Picture Day: April 26th

Coaches will sign up for a photo session appointment with Dorian Studios. After the photos are ready, the coach will receive them by mail and distribute them to families at the end of the season.

Spring Flag Frenzy

SYSA is excited to bring back our spring flag football season with an optional end-of-season tournament! The Spring Flag Frenzy will take place from May 31 to June 1 at Andrew Rypien Field.

The team registration fee is $160, and each team is guaranteed two games.

Coaches Meeting

Coaches PowerPoint will be emailed out to all coaches

IMPORTANT:

• A Volunteer Head Coach is needed before a team starts – All SYSA coaches are volunteers.
• Volunteer Head Coaches receive 50% off one player’s registration per team. LINK for the registration procedure. The Head Coach will receive a 50% refund once the season has started.
• Coaches contact registered players after the Coach Meeting, please be patient waiting for this contact.
• Online Registrations are confirmed by email; if the information is omitted notify SYSA via reply email.
• Once assigned to a team, the coach picks the practice field, days, and times. (Click for Field Locations).

COACH REGISTRATION – How to register (3 steps)

• Coach Registration: Log in to your Blue Sombrero account HERE.
  Click on the volunteer tab, view divisions, and complete registration.
• Background Check: All coaches must complete a SYSA background check annually. If you need one, SYSA will contact you.
• Abuse Prevention Video: All coaches are required to watch an Abuse Prevention Video. SYSA will contact you with a link for the video. Once the video is complete, the coach can be assigned to a team.
