Spring 2025 Recreational Soccer – Let’s Kick It!

We’re pumped to bring you another season of fun-filled, action-packed recreational soccer this Spring! 🌟 Whether you’re a first-time player or a seasoned pro, we’ve got a spot for everyone. Kids will be placed on teams based on their birth year, so the 2020-2017 crew will have a weekly practice, while our 2016-2011 players will get an extra practice each week to perfect their moves! ⚽

Games will take place every Saturday, and we can’t wait to watch the fun unfold! This season is all about staying active, making new friends, learning fresh skills, and—most importantly—having a blast! 🌈

Registration OPEN

Season Dates:

-April 14 – May 31
-Practices start the week of April 14th, first game is April 19th.
-All games will be held on Saturdays throughout the season

We kindly ask families to help our field coordinators at the six game-day locations with setting up and taking down the fields. Your assistance makes a big difference! We also appreciate everyone’s efforts in cleaning up trash after games to keep our fields clean and enjoyable for all. Thank you for your support

Registration Deadline

To secure priority placement, please register by March 6th. After this date, coach requests and player requests may not be available. Starting March 7th, waitlist registration will be open.

Note: Players who participated in the Fall 2024 League are already registered for the Spring League, so no additional registration is needed.

Divisions & Fees

-$110 – 4v4 (Players born in 2020, 2019, 2018)
Includes: 6 spring games, 1 practice per week, jersey, and socks.

-$115 – 5v5 (Players born in 2017)
Includes: 6 spring games, 1 practice per week, jersey, and socks.

-$125 – 7v7 (Players born in 2016, 2015)
Includes: 6 spring games, 2 practices per week, jersey, and socks.

-$130 – 9v9 (Players born in 2014, 2013, 2012-2011)
Includes: 6 spring games, 2 practices per week, jersey, and socks.

All fees cover the full season, including games, practices, and uniform!

**A non-refundable 3% banking fee and a $1 service fee will be added at checkout.**

8th graders with an Aug-Dec 2010 birth year may register and play in the 2012-2011 league. 

Training Details

-Players born in 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017: 1 practice per week

-Players born in 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012-2011: 2 practices per week

The Volunteer Coach will choose the practice day, time, and location. Practices can be scheduled any day from Monday to Friday.

If you have a specific day in mind for practices, consider volunteering as a coach! Practices can begin after April 10.

Uniforms

Jersey tops and socks will be provided for this program.
New spring coaches can pick up the bag of uniforms from the SYSA Office from 9:00am-3:00pm between March 25-29th.

Player provides

Players should come dressed for the weather with the following athletic gear:

• Shorts
• Socks
• Shin guards (required)
• Athletic shoes or cleats

Additionally, players will need to bring:

• A labeled water bottle
• A soccer ball:
  • Players born in 2020-2017: Size 3
  • Players born in 2016-2013: Size 4
  • Players born in 2012-2011: Size 5

Volunteer Coaches

We’re looking for Volunteer Coaches for the spring league. Most fall team rosters will carry over to the spring season with full rosters. If you’re interested, consider coaching a team!

What’s included for coaches:

• A coach’s kit (bibs, cones, game ball, and whistle)
• 50% off registration for the one child you’re coaching

Picture Day: April 19th

Coaches will sign up for a photo session appointment with Dorian Studios based on their team’s game location on April 19. Photo locations include:

• South Complex
• Dwight Merkel Sports Complex
• Evergreen Elementary
• Andrew Rypien Fields

Once the photos are ready, the coach will receive them by mail and distribute them to the families at the end of the season.

IMPORTANT:

• A Volunteer Coach is needed before a team starts – All SYSA coaches are volunteers.
• Volunteer Head Coaches receive 50% off their player’s registration. LINK for registration procedure, training curriculum, and a coach equipment kit. The Head Coach will receive a 50% refund after the program deadline registration date and a team is confirmed.
• Coaches contact registered players after the Coach receives the roster, please be patient while waiting for this contact.
• Online Registrations are confirmed by email; if the information is omitted notify SYSA via reply email.
