SYSA is excited to partner with Spokane River Rowing Association to offer youth rowing year-round. Winter indoor sessions with Coach Riley Brooks focus on rowing technique, strength, and aerobic conditioning using Concept2 ergs, while the summer Learn to Row program at Silver Lake introduces participants to on-water rowing, including technique, boat handling, water safety, and teamwork in 4- and 8-person boats. Coach Brooks brings over five years of youth rowing experience and is passionate about technical development and teamwork.

Indoor Winter Sessions
Registration OPEN
Grades: 6th – 12th
Fee: $80 per monthly session, limited to 10 participants; session will close early if filled
**A non-refundable 3% banking fee and a $1 service fee will be added at the time of checkout.
Location: Woodland Center at the Finch Arboretum – Google Map
Time: 9:30 am – 11:30 am
What to Bring: Active clothing and a labeled water bottle; signed waiver on the first day

December: 3 Saturdays: 12/5, 12/12, 12/19 – $60 | Register by November 26th
January: 4 Saturdays: 1/9, 1/16, 1/23, 1/30 – $80| Register by December 31st
February: 4 Saturdays: 2/6, 2/13, 2/20, 2/27 – $80| Register by January 28th
March: 4 Saturdays: 3/6, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27 – $80 | Register by February 25th
April: 4 Saturdays: 4/3, 4/10, 4/17, 4/24 – $80| Register by March 25th
*Each session includes an optional water experience on Silver Lake June 13th.

What to Bring: Comfortable active clothing (tight-fitting is better) and water shoes, layering options depending on the weather, and a water bottle.
Parking: Discovery Pass required to park at the public boat launch
